Srila Prabhupada
sa vai bhagavato raja
pandaveyo maha-rathah
bala-kridanakaih kridan
krsna-kridam ya adade
Translation: "Maharaja Pariksit, the grandson of the Pandavas, was from his very
childhood a great devotee of the Lord. Even while playing with dolls, he used to
worship Lord Krsna by imitating the worship of the family Deity."
Prabhupada: Krsna-kridam. Bala-kridanakaih kridan krsna-kridam ya adade. This
is the facility of taking birth in a Vaisnava family. Children, simply by playing with
Krsna, they become Krsna conscious. Some way or other, if somebody comes in
contact with Krsna, then his life becomes successful. So this krsna-yoga,
bhakti-yoga, can be practiced even by a child without interfering with his natural
propensities. A child naturally wants to play, so he can play with Krsna Deity. We
had the opportunity of doing that. My father was worshiping Krsna Deity. So I
wanted to imitate him, and he gave me small Deity. That Deity is still worshiped.

[SB 3.25.1]
So we are reciting from our latest edition of Srimad-Bhagavatam. This is Third
Canto, Part Four. We have finished Third Canto, publishing. This is very
important subject matter. The Kapila, the expounder of Sankhya philosophy, he
instructed to His mother, Devahuti. There are two Kapilas. Real Kapiladeva is
Kapila. He expounded Sankhya philosophy to instruct His mother. But later on,
some imitation Kapiladeva also appeared -- atheistic Sankhya philosophy. He
has simply dealt with the twenty-four different elements without information of
God. Therefore there are two Kapilas. One Kapila is called the devahuti-putra
Kapila; another is atheist Kapila.

vande gurun isa-bhaktan

krsna-caitanya-samjnakam
[Cc. Adi 1.1]
Krsna Caitanya is Krsna. That was observed by Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya. He
composed one hundred verses praising the glories of Lord Caitanya, but because
Caitanya Mahaprabhu was playing the part of a devotee, He threw away the
slokas, because "This is not for Me." That was Caitanya Mahaprabhu's
humbleness. But the devotees know that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is Krsna
Himself. Sri-krsna-caitanya radha-krsna nahe anya. Radha-Krsna combination of
Sri Caitanya... Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu means Radha and Krsna combined. In the
beginning there is Krsna, and then Krsna divided into two, Radha and Krsna. And
then again combined, that is Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Srila Prabhupada
"Sukadeva Gosvami said: Thus the great well-wisher of everyone, the Supreme
Lord, Rsabhadeva, instructed His own sons. Although they were perfectly
educated and cultured, He instructed them just to set an example of how a
father should instruct his sons before retiring from family life. Sannyasis, who are
no longer bound by fruitive activity and who have taken to devotional service
after all their material desires have been vanquished, also learn by these
instructions. Lord Rsabhadeva instructed His one hundred sons, of whom the
eldest, Bharata, was a very advanced devotee and a follower of Vaisnavas. In
order to rule the whole world, the Lord enthroned His eldest son on the royal
seat. Thereafter, although still at home, Lord Rsabhadeva lived like a madman,
naked and with disheveled hair. Then the Lord took the sacrificial fire within
Himself, and He left Brahmavarta to tour the whole world."
