Meaning of the Syllables

5-Syllable Nityananda or Nitai Mantraraja [Haladhara Balarama Mantraraja]

Ni + tya [2 Syllables] = Eternal Truth (Sat)

aa + na + nda [3 Syllables] = Imperishable Spiritual Happiness and Bliss.


4-Syllable Gauranga or Gaura Mantraraja [Gaura Gopala Mantraraja]

Gau + ra [2 Syllables] = Golden and Fair Complexion and Mood of Shrimati Radha who is known as Gauri also.

a + nga [2 Syllables] = The transcendental Bodily Limbs of Lord Krishna in Kali Yuga.


32-Syllable Hare Krishna Mahamantra [Taraka Brahma Mantra]

Ha + re [2 Syllables] = The Vocative (Calling out) of Lord Hari or Shrimati Hara (Radha) to engage us in Their
pure unalloyed devotional service or a call to Them to steal away (harana) the sins in our heart and make it fully
pure.

Kri + shna [2 Syllables] = The Supreme Absolute who fully attracts and enchants the hearts and souls of all
living entities and thus gives all of them liberation from material bondage.

Ra + ma [2 Syllables] = The Supreme Abode and Reservoir of all spiritual pleasure in form of Radha-Ramana
(One Who sports with Shrimati Radha) or Balarama (One who sports in His own spiritual strength) or
