SILENT
What? Authentic Silent Meditation is a method to surrender to the Holy name of the Supreme Lord.

How?  In Authentic Silent Meditation we silently think the Holy Name of the Lord to ourselves. Which of His Holy
Names you embrace is personal. During the practice our mind becomes effortlessly focused on the Holy Name
while exploring the subtle layers of our awareness. The subtler we go the more our awareness becomes
surcharged with the presence of the Holy Name.

How long? That is different for different people. A minimum of 20 minutes twice a day is recommended. The more
time you spend with the Holy Name in Authentic Silent Meditation, the more you accelerate your spiritual
advancement. However you don’t want to go too fast either. Glorifying the Holy Name during Authentic Silent
Meditation is a way of approaching the Supreme Lord. It is not like prayer in which we ask for things. We just
silently think and listen for the Holy Name of the Supreme Lord within ourselves. Glorifying the Holy Name is not
limited to Authentic Silent Meditation. There are many other ways to glorify His Name; singing, chanting, writing,
etc. A trained devotee can easily meditate for hours on the Holy Name in one session.

When?  Whenever you feel that Authentic Silent Meditation on the Holy Names of the Supreme Lord is something
you want to do please read carefully
the Science of ASM before you start the official instruction. By reading and
following the instructions carefully you will be able to practice Authentic Silent Meditation for yourself.

Teacher/student: Student and teacher transcend all material conception in their relationship. They don’t explore
each other; they inspire each others’ focus on the Holy Names of the Supreme Lord. Both the student and teacher
are selfless in their relationship and both serve each other graciously on a pure spiritual level.

Student and teacher have a relationship that transcends the paradoxes of different religions, philosophies,
concepts, and their true mutual interest is the glorification of the Holy Name of the Supreme Lord. Both respect the
many Holy Names of the Supreme Lord in different languages, religions, cultures, times, etc. Teacher and student
can have a different Holy Name for the Supreme Lord while both revere in love the Holy Name of the other. The
Holy Name is what brings student and teacher together at the shore of the ocean of Love for the Supreme Being.
Sitting at the feet of the Supreme Lord all differences are dissolved in the salve of Divine Love for the Supreme
Lord. Such is the power of the Holy Name of the Lord. In Authentic Silent Meditation we silently think the Holy
name of the Lord to ourselves. During the practice our mind becomes effortlessly more focused on the Holy Name
while exploring the subtle layers of our awareness. The subtler we go the more our awareness becomes
surcharged with the presence of the Holy Name.
